No feature here exists just to fill a list. Each one is the direct answer to something that goes wrong on a real golf day.
Handicaps
Handicap Index to Course Handicap to Playing Handicap, using the full Appendix C allowance table. The allowance is applied to the unrounded figure, not the rounded one, because rounding twice quietly gives the wrong answer roughly a quarter of the time.
Once a session locks, every player's handicap is calculated and snapshotted. It never silently recalculates underneath a live score, so a number a player saw at the start of the round is still the number that decides the result at the end.
Running a two-day event where good rounds earn a cut and poor ones earn a boost? Set the scale once and apply it between rounds, with an easy manual override for any individual player.
Every player can see exactly how their own number was built: Handicap Index, Slope, Course Rating, the allowance percentage, all the way to the final figure. Nothing hidden behind a black box.

Running the day
Most societies already have one, in a spreadsheet somebody emailed round. Paste it in or drop the file — names, handicaps and tee times in one go. Put a Time column in it and the tee sheet builds itself, groups and all.
You have already sorted who plays with who. One tap turns those tee groups into the teams for the round, whatever mix of threes and fours you ended up with — instead of tapping the same names in a second time.
Put them on the holes they belong to and the current leader shows up on that hole, on everybody's phone, as soon as it is logged. Measured the way your club already measures them — a marker peg and somebody's eye, not a guess from a phone's GPS.
Search any England Golf-affiliated club and pull in the actual Course Rating, Slope and stroke index for each hole. Clubs with several courses or nines show every option clearly, not merged into one confusing entry.
A single wizard: name the event, pick the course, choose your formats, add players, build tee times. Nothing goes live to players until you're ready.
Fill a whole field into tee groups in one action, spaced how you like, sequential or shotgun-style off every hole at once.
Players scan a QR code, find their own name, and check their handicap and tee before the day starts. No spreadsheet chasing.
Twilight nine? Real shotgun start off hole 11? Set the length and starting hole per session and the stroke allocation adjusts itself correctly.
Better-ball sides, shared-ball sides and best-N-of-4 sides are each scored the way that format actually works, not forced into one generic leaderboard shape.
On the day
You decide which when you set the day up, not each golfer on their own phone: one card keeper per group, or everyone enters their own card and marks one other. Whichever you choose, two different numbers for the same hole are flagged, never silently resolved.
At the end of the round each player signs their own card and the one they marked, drawn on the screen. That is what official guidance asks for, and it is what a club needs before it can accept a card. A card with a hole still in dispute cannot be signed at all — it names the hole instead, so two people can go and settle it.
A Sunday game with friends is not a monthly medal. One setting turns signing off for the day, and the scores simply stand once both entries agree. The app does not insist your social golf is paperwork.
The organiser can correct any score from their own phone the moment a dispute comes up. Settled on the tee, not by email a week later.
Every past event is archived, and every golfer's own round history stays with their profile, along with their handicap and tee at the time, for as long as they want it.
Players mark their own round finished, and the leaderboard shows exactly who's done and who's still out, live.
One tap adds Greenbound to your home screen, on your phone or a laptop — full-screen, no browser bar, straight into your event. Entirely optional, and never required just to score a hole.
Leagues
£150 per league, start to finish. Players never pay.
Pick who plays together. The pairs hold all season, or play singles. Built for big leagues: 18 pairs or more, every match on one screen.
Your choice when you set the league up: lock everyone's handicap at the start, or let it move with their latest. Allowances start at the World Handicap System's (90% match, 85% better-ball sweep), and you can change them.
Golfers tap their name and see their day on one screen: their partner and who they play, tee time, handicap and match shots. One tap to accept and they're on the first tee. You see every tick come in.
Anyone away gets a guest in their place, from any phone in the match, before the round starts. A pair that can't come gives the other side the win.
Every match in its team colours, "All square" from the first tee, hole by hole on the leaderboard. Tap a match for the full card. The weekly better-ball sweep runs off the same scores.
Played, won, halved, lost, holes up or down, form and who's moving. Each golfer's own season on their phone, and the week's result by email the moment you finalise it.
One screen runs the week: who's here, the matches, subs, scores (tap any score to change it), rained off, finish. No hunting through menus on the first tee.
Each week's draw is made for you, and it warns you if two pairs have met before.
