The handicap, worked out on the card

Index, slope, course rating and allowance, shown to every golfer. No arguing in the clubhouse about who got what.

Cards that can't be fiddled

The player and the marker both sign. If they disagree on a hole, the card won't sign until it's sorted.

One link, everyone watching

Share the leaderboard and it moves hole by hole, on every phone, for the players and anyone who didn't make it.

Threes and fours. One competition.

Seventeen players is four, four, three, three, three. Most apps make you score the threes as a separate event — or leave somebody out. Greenbound puts them all on one leaderboard, best two to count, whatever size the team is.

Your groups are already the teams

You sorted who plays with who on the tee sheet. One tap turns those groups into the teams for the round — instead of typing the same names in twice.

It tells you the catch

A four gets one more go at making its best two than a three does. The app says so while you are picking the teams, so you decide it when you set the prize — not when somebody raises it at the bar.

Picked the wrong format?

Choose one that only takes fours and it names the one that fits your actual tee sheet, rather than greying out a button and leaving you to guess why.

Run your next society day on it

A few minutes to set up, and nobody has to download anything to play. Or look at a finished round first — no sign-up, nothing to fill in.
